Happy New Year 2022

I opened my Bible today to Genesis 1 to begin a new year. I asked the Lord to open my heart and fill it with His word so that I may be able to be all he would want me to be for His honor and glory. Friend, what are you doing to begin the new year? Many make resolutions that are never kept. We have all done that. But I hope right now that you will prayerfully open your Bible and your heart for the Lord to be able to help you have a happy and blessed 2022.

Most of us would confess that the last two years have held interesting and difficult trials. Especially tthe last few months of this past year have held some tough challenges for me. As I enter the new year I am still walking with a walker. To go some places I need to go in a wheel chair. I begin some new type of therapy that I am hoping will re-strengthen my left leg that has the damaged nerves so that I can walk properly or at least with only a cane. God knows. The ministry He has called me to and the work I do are in His hands.

Tomorrow God wiling I preach from 1 Peter 1:6-8 about facing this new year in faith. Though we may have trials and tribulation may we be rejoicing as God works on us to prove our faith. Do not allow troubles to diminish your joy as a Christian. If you are not a believer you will only find pure and real joy unless you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your only hope and salvation.
